1. Hello, I'm DeRayne. Been on imvu for ohh 4-5 yrs now. Um... as to me I like reading, writing, I enjoy tinkering with web stuff but I'm not overly good. I do love creating backgrounds. Dunno that I'm great at that either, but I like it. I am about to go back to college this fall for the next 4 years to be a interpreter to the deaf because sign language is fascinating to me and has been since 2nd grade. If I can I will take some art classes just for the joy of it. And maybe Greek too.
2. I know some html, some java, some php and flash but I never really got into it because I'm more of a tinkerer. I just wanna know how it works so I can get what I need out of it, I don't actually do anything with it. I can dev. I texture pretty well. I can make my own. But I only dev things I specifically want and can't find. Or things other people ask me to make. If I get unlazy I could probably mesh without much trouble but right now I'm just kinda being lazy, no motivation to learn it really, I have no idea what I would want to make. But I am very smart. I learn so fast. I just never found anything I really wanted to do.
I'm good at figuring out how programs work very quickly. I took 2 years in college for applications specialist which sounds a lot grander than it is, it just means that about any program you show me, I can figure out how it works in a pinch and in a snap I could teach all the tips and tricks to it. All it is, is just breaking down and learning a program quickly without any reference or assistance and then being able to teach that to somebody else. It means I know how to use quite a few programs and if I don't know it and somebody wants me to... ask and see what happens.
3. Not really anything in particular. I'm always happy to help other people though. If anybody wants anything made. Most of my imvu products are spread out over 3 accounts, the other 2 I will not name because I value my privacy, and the items are generally hidden. Not for sale. Mostly because they'd violate the tos or because they were made for a specific person not all of imvu. I don't charge people for making them something. I'm willing to do it at cost of posting. Or in rare cases when I know the person well and they dev but can't do what they're asking of me, I will make the file myself, make the textures from scratch, and then give those to the other person to use at their leisure.
All they gotta do is plug it all back in and if they use the textures for other things, oh well. Its my friend. If you want to know who I've done this for so you can check some of my work that isn't listed as my work, I'll happily point you in the direction of the textures, but I'd prefer the names of the people when you see them to be private information. No need for anybody to know which of their lines of products they didn't texture, after all the idea was theirs. I just... put it in JPG.
