Ninjas existed in the animes and movies, if they still exist today for real, they must be near exctintion.
THey never got further than Japan.
While pirates were all over the world, they can move around either day or night, their lifes are much more exciting and funnier. Plus, they got the gold and the guns.

At least they have the balls to face things face-to-face, and what do the ninjas do? They attack from behind like cowards... or at least like gays (butt rape xP)
