Inside of the dick's XMF files, the submeshes are the default state. The morphs are states that it can change (morph) to. You can not easily turn a morph state into the default state without hiring a mesher such as myself to do it for you. IMVU's developer software does not support it. Editing the XMF requires intimate knowledge of IMVU's CAL3D schema, XML, and hours if not days of work.
