It's been quite a few years since I last tried using IMVU with WINE. It wasn't that great of an experience back then. Has it not at all improved?

It runs a lot better than it used to, but it's just little things that make it run like a mac version, so I don't know it's a unix based thing or what

Why are you using wine to imvu with? It works with linux and unix now.

from what ik, virtual box will always slow. idk i was trying with higher ram size but still, slow

There's more to VirtualBox performance than ram. The amount of cpu cores you allow the virtual OS to use as well whether or not you enable 2d/3d acceleration all matter.

Of course this all depends on the specs of the host machine. If you have a shit computer than it won't matter how many resources you devote to the guest OS, it'll always be slow.
