If you like to get dressed up formal .. there are rooms by HellieXx called The Piano Club, Piano Club Basement etc .. but thats only if you like to get dressed up lol

All the rooms I go into are full of parked avatars and silence, usually. It's nothing like it was, in my opinion, people have withdrawn to their cliques and it's very difficult to make new friends. I've also noticed a weird trend with avatars where when they're sitting they stay perfectly still in one pose like statues. What's the point with that? Though it's not really the topic. I mostly sit in my own public room, and no one ever comes in. It's a very different community now in my experience. And not really for the better...

-I always found the people there very snooty and not as bright as they make out. Always felt unwelcome or ignored because I rocked a gothic number or didn't look like a stale 40y/o.

But I couldn't agree more with Harper. IMVU never used to feel so lame, to me at least. Getting a convo going now is always a mission, sadly.
