This is a simple program I created to allow you all to test a single name or tons of names against IMVU's registered names database. It wil check each name and tell you if it is available for use.

Supported modes:
-Single name
-Multiple names

To load up multiple names you have 3 options:

1) Simply enter each name individually into the name box and add it to the list of names to checks.
2) Click File > Open Names list and select a text document full of names to load.
3) Drag 1 or more text documents full of names onto the "Names To Check" list to automatically load all the names inside

How to use:
1) Open program.
2) Input names using 1 of the 3 methods mentioned above.
3) Click the "Check Name(s)" button.

The program will proceed to check each name and add it to the "Names Checked" list with either a "Name Available" or "Not Available".

4) Optional - Drag new files into the list, type a new name into the text box or use the open name list menu option to load another file if you wish to do another search. If you do not wish to check any more names just close the program.

Options:
Keep list on new search: This option will keep your results from a previous search. If this option is not selected the list will be erased if you perform a new search.

Always show last row: This option will make and keep the last row in the list visible while checking names. If this options is not selected, the list will always display the top and you will not see new rows being added if the rows go outside the list boundaries.

Hide taken names: This option will make all names on the list that are taken invisible so you will only see available names. If this option is not selected, the list will show taken and available names

Super easy to use. Went to a random letter generator and copy/pasted to get checked results. Thank you. Like ive said am lazy and not having to check each individual name makes this a breeze.

I'm still not entirely sure what I would check that against. Do you know if there is an api or database of names that they check when you send them a ticket? I really don't know how to go about including those names otherwise.

I believe names that have last log date of 00/00/00 are considered inactive and possibly available through help ticket. I have been able to request such names thru help ticket even though it was taken by guest and non-guest tag. But as with imvu all things are not guaranteed as there is the registered name factor. I'm not sure how to cross reference through coding.

now this is totally cool and about the idea of inactive name search yeah I would like that one myself. sort of like the whois to check of a domain register or warehouse with al the info on it as well maybe no disclosing who owns it but active or not by length of time since last login date etc. thank soooo & have a wonderful day

The program would have to be significantly modified to get the last login date of the user. It's possible, I will look into doing it and see what performance impact it has. I should update this program with proper threading techniques anyway.

its about time for a review!! since i have been using this programe. This NameChecker programe is one of the first programes (related to imvu) that i have found very useful for myself. It has really come to be a handy tool. i needed it to look for a new name. but i did not want to log on imvu to do so. my results on using this tool, are fast, simple & beneficial. it does exactly what it says it does. there are some extra cool features along side of it. that stand out when using it. to make life, finding a name on imvu just that easier.

I would recommend this Tool to any imvu user. my rate (10/10) NO LIE.
