In this topic I will go over briefly on how to make stickers in Photoshop, however I am sure you can use this advice on different programs.
For me, I personally use Photoshop to make my stickers.
The standard size for larger stickers for mine is 400 x 400 pixels or 500 x 500 pixels.
For medium sized ones I use 300 x 300 pixels.
And for smaller sized stickers I use 200 x 200 pixels.
Of course you can use whatever file size you'd like, these are just the sizes that I use.
As for resolution, I normally don't go over 1000px per square because that can make the file size too large.
If you want a sticker with a transparent background, save your work as a PNG file. If you want your sticker to have a background, save it as a JPEG file.
Also make a shop icon for your product! This is what the customer will see in the shop when looking for a new sticker for their homepage!
Required Icon Size: 100 x 80 Pixels.
Submitting and Selling your sticker!
So you have come this far in making your sticker and now it's time to submit it for sale!
The easiest way to go about this is to go to the IMVU Original Website and click the "shop" button to get to the shop. This will bring you to a few choices, choose stickers and click on any sticker that is for sale.
After you get to the information about whatever sticker you chose, scroll on down to find the Dev #. In this line there will be a link called "Make a Sticker" click that!
This will bring you to a page where you can begin to submit your sticker for sale!
Name your sticker and provide a short description about it. Then upload your Icon (this is what people will see in the shop)
and then submit your sticker file! (the final product the customer will receive after purchase.
Make sure you rate your sticker properly! Either General Audience or AP!
Choose the price for which you could like to sell your sticker! Keep in mind that there is a Dev price and an extra sale price, but you choose the amount of credits that you will receive when someone buys it.
After this list some words what go along with your sticker!
Example: For a heart sticker some describing words you could use are...
"Love, relationship, red, pink, heart, cute."
After all of this, there is a price you will have to pay for submitting your sticker to the shop so make sure you can afford it!
After you choose to submit your sticker, like any product you submit on IMVU, it has to pass through peer review.
Custom Stickers
If you are making a custom sticker for someone you should choose to hide it in your shop so the general population cannot see it. If you do want people to be able to see it in your shop as an example, choose to have the sticker on "Display Only." After you gift it to the client so that no one else has the ability to purchase it for themselves.
Of course you do not have to gift it to the client, you can post the price for the sticker normally and only move it to "Display Only" after they purchase it, but for me personally I like to be paid by transferred credits to make it easier for myself and the client.
