When you are tryin to dress your avatar or search for something in shop, getting invites and messages from people slow you down. Also there are people who are too impatient and sometimes you just want to be alone and not have to give explanations.

oh I get it now. I have never been in that impatient situation so I don't know. Sometimes I just ignore the invitation so I don't think much about that.

Yes but if you in a public room with your location available to see they know you online anyways too if they see you in those rooms as well
