When making a brand new never before seen dick, we typically start by buying a base model from here:
https://3dexport.com/Second, we open the model in 3DSMax or Blender.
Then we reduce the quality down to a number of polygons that IMVU's 3D engine can handle, and we weight the model to a copy of one of IMVU's avatars.
Finally, we texture map the dick, and export it, so we can load it into IMVU's create mode.
From there, we can design the texture.
Once we have a textured dick, we go back into our 3D modeling program and a couple of morph states (limp, hard straight, hard pointing up, hard fat).
Once we have morph states, we can code xpf morph file files via XML, to change between the various states and animate the dick.
