[Fixed] Returnee to IMVU - classic IMVU display problems

Hello.
I have a new PC and I tried installing IMVU classic on my PC,
but for some reason it doesn't display properly.
I tried the newest version of IMVU classic from their website on my Windows 10 PC.
Can you please provide me with a solution to this issue? Thank you!

P.S. If needed I can try installing the app again to show the issues.

If you have a new PC, I can only recommend that you try to download and install the older DirectX as well

If you don't solve by installing the older DirectX, it would be good to better understand the kind of problems.

These are the kinds of issues I'm encountering.
Also I can't scroll to all the options in the interface
What older DirectX version are you talking about?

The classic client runs on DirectX 9 so try installing that. I'm guessing the purple boxes are censors placed by you. As for the scrolling issue try changing the client scale in the advanced settings, if you have a larger monitor maybe it can help.

DirectX is a suite of multimedia technologies required by many Windows games. If your PC doesn't have the right version of DirectX installed (the product box should tell you which one you need), your game might not work properly.

  • To check which version of DirectX is on your PC using the DirectX Diagnostic Tool, select the Start button and type dxdiag in the search box, then press Enter.
  • In the DirectX Diagnostic Tool, select the System tab, then check the DirectX version number under System Information.
  • The first time you use the DirectX Diagnostic Tool, you might be asked whether you want to check if your drivers are digitally signed. We recommend that you select Yes to help ensure that your drivers have been signed by a publisher that has verified their authenticity.

unfortunately the IMVU classic client still relies on DirectX 9 runtimes which isn't installed by default on newer versions of Windows (wich instead use more recent versions).
